INSULATION

External Wall Insulation

We partner with the Ireland’s leading External Wall Insulation providers. These external wall insulation products are suitable for use in a range of external wall applications, including façades and solid masonry walls.

Our external wall insulation benefits:

  • Ideal for retaining internal space in  buildings  or for buildings that  can't be insulated on the inside
  • Solutions for both retrofit and refurbishment projects
  • Lightweight insulation that is easy to transport, handle and install
  • A wide range of options that can completely modernise and change

           the external appearance of your

           home.

Cavity Wall Insulation

Cavity wall insulation is the insulation material that is installed into the cavity of a building, which is the space between the inner and outer wall. Cavity wall insulation traps the warm air in and prevents air from circulating around the cavity. By reducing heat loss through the cavity, you could save on your heating bills as well as your home having a better insulating performance & Ber Rating.

Cavity Wall Insulation is provided internally and does not change the internal or external appearance of your home, should you wish to keep you current façade & décor. It can be easily inserted with minimum disruption to your daily living arrangements but can make a huge difference to the comfort and warmth of your home.

Internal Wall Insualation

Internal wall insulation is applied to the internal walls of a building and can be mechanically fixed or adhesively bonded to the wall. This can be applied over your existing internal walls or you may decide to strip back your existing walls to create a new internal structure. This is most often used in the process of home improvements, where an open space may be created or redesigned; or new areas and rooms created with partitioning and studding.

Homeology provide all internal wall Insulation options and will work with you and your designer to create the highest heat retention possible for your retrofit.

Attic Insulation

The attic in most older homes is the largest area of heat loss. Therefore, insulating your attic will provide you with an instantly warmer home. Attic insulation is often combined with Airtightness measures which will airtight any draught areas prior to the placing of attic insulation. This excludes any areas allowing heat to escape whilst providing an excellent heat loss reduction measure.

Homeology provide a range of attic insulation & airtightness measures and our project management team will work closely with you to ensure maximum BER improvement.

Floor Insultion

At Homeology we work with our partners to provide a selection of floor insulation options ranging from regular floor insulation which will provide your space with better thermal performance, increased comfort and improved energy efficiency; to full underfloor heating systems.

Our Project Management Team will work with you to decide the best option, including all available grants.

Window Upgrades

A window upgrade to your home will easily provide the most visually satisfying upgrade to your home whilst providing futureproof windows that will greatly extend the lifetime of your home.

We work closely with our dedicated partners to provide an extensive range of retail & bespoke window options.

Munster Joinery is our preferred partner as they offer the widest range of materials, types and styles including made to order & bespoke window options.

Choose from their online show room or invite them for an onsite consultation, Homeology will work throughout the planning stages to ensure your window choice will offer the maximum retrofitting BER & cost effectiveness.

Door Upgrades

We work closely with our dedicated partners to provide and extensive range of retail & bespoke Doors. Again our preferred partners are Munster Joinery when it comes to doors.

Each door is designed for unprecedented performance and exceptional aesthetics, with options available for every style of home.

We offer a wide range of products in a variety of materials – timber, aluminium, aluclad and uPVC. We offer single doors, french door sets, sliding doors, bi-fold doors and more.

All doors provide the highest level of security with multi-point locking systems, locking handles & heavy duty hinges.

Homeology Project Management Team will work closely with supplier and cient  throughout the planning stages to ensure your window choice will offer the maximum retrofitting BER & cost effectiveness.

Solar Panels

Homeology offer a range of Solar Panel options for your retrofitting project. Introducing solar panels to your home will generate free electricity for you & your family.

With each bi-monthly electricity bill you will see significant reductions in your electricity costs.

As the cost of electricity goes up, so does the amount of money you are saving.

Often your system will generate more electricity than you can use at that moment, that excess power will be exported back to the grid, which may result in you getting paid for the power you produce, thus further reducing your expenses.

Going forward you will be less reliant on the grid for power,  making  you more secure in how you power your home.

Our expert Solar Team will install your Solar Panels and set you up on an App so that you can control & monitor your solar panels in real time.

HEATING & VENTILATION

Heating, airtightness & ventilation are important parts of the retrofitting process. These key areas use new technological advancements that were just not available when most homes in Ireland were constructed. Using these measures in your retrofitting will completely change the environment and atmosphere in your home, maintaining warmth, temperature and moisture in the air.

Homeology Project Management Team will work closely with you to assess your personal preferences and, in conjunction with the recommendations for your BER increase, design a heating control system suited to you & your family’s needs.

Underfloor Heating

Homeology can provide a comprehensive underfloor heating system. Each room will have a thermostatically monitored heat control panel that you can manage in your home or link to a smart app.

Air To Water Heatpumps

Heat Pumps operate by transforming energy from the outside air into heat, meaning every 1kW of electricity used to power the heat pump is capable of providing up to 5kW of energy in a well-insulated home.

Retrofitting an Air To Water Heat Pump can help reduce heating bills by up to 60% and cutting CO2 emissions by 50% compared to traditional boiler-led heating systems.

Compact & virtually silent, Air To Water Heat Pumps extract heat from the outside ambient air all year round, even at temperatures as low as - 25°C.

Smart Control Systems

Homeology offer a range of Smart Control Systems for all aspects of your heating Control System.

Adjust your Wifi thermostat from anywhere with Smart Heating Controls. For greater efficiency we offer zone control solutions, so you can adjust the temperatures of upstairs, downstairs and hot water separately.

Smart Heating controls can save you money by allowing you complete control over your heating preferences and are not only economical but also environmentally friendly.

Heat Recovery Unit

Homeology offer heat recovery and ventilation as part of the retrofitting options. It will remove your home’s polluted air with ease and provide a constant supply of clean filtered air, allowing you and your family to live in an ideal indoor environment.

Homeology’s heating & ventilation systems gently ventilate the property at a rate of about half an air change per hour, removing moist air and unpleasant smells from the kitchen, bathrooms and toilets and extracting it to the outside. These systems are great in homes with allergy or asthma sufferers.

Thermostats

All our thermostats can be installed based on your preferences. We offer manual, automatic & smart control systems.

Airtightness

Airtightness is about eliminating all unintended gaps and cracks, holes, splits and tears where air can move into and out of the ‘conditioned’ space (heated or cooled space) of the building.

Such gaps, cracks etc can account for up to 50pc of all heat losses through the external envelope of a building, and can be caused by poor build design, or outdated techniques used in older homes in Ireland.

Airtightness is important in avoiding heat loss as it means less uncontrolled air movement in and out of the building. Less heat loss also means your heating system will work more efficiently, thereby reducing heating bills and energy wastage. It also contributes to maintaining thermal comfort (ie. insulating better in winter and reducing overheating in the summer).
